The Boats project was designed for HAPE toys.

The boats float nest and can connect to each other for a playful experience.

Design

First a design theme was chosen out of several concepts, floatation tests were made using prototypes to balance between shape and function.

Nesting and towing are part of the design features.

The Challenges

Even the simplest product can bring challenges, balancing the design theme with features such as nesting towing and floating, brought interest into this relatively simple project.
