IGI
Dental Surgery 3D Camera
IGI stands for Image Guided Implant Dentistry.
The heart of the system is a 3D camera that enables the surgeon to plan the surgery ahead and follow the exact path while getting real time feedback during the operation.

The task given was to redesign the camera with a focus on making it lighter and more user-friendly. The goal was to improve its ease of use. Additionally, the redesign needed to focus on reducing production costs to make the camera more affordable, while at the same time improving its accuracy and performance, ensuring it surpasses the previous model in terms of precision and reliability. The challenge was to achieve all these improvements while maintaining the core features of the original camera.
The Task
Throughout the development process, we actively worked alongside various suppliers to simplify the design, focusing on reducing complexity. This effort not only helped lower production costs but also significantly shortened the manufacturing cycle time, ensuring a more efficient production process overall. By maintaining close collaboration with suppliers, we were able to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures effectively.
The Process

Design Integration
The work included building a design aesthetics language for the system components, mechanical design, engineering of some components using various technologies such as injection molding, CNC, precision adhesion and composite materials.
